πŸ”’ Unlocks with the class

Weeks unlock as the cohort moves through them, so nobody races ahead alone or falls behind quietly.

Try it yourself

Two real problems from Core, Week 1.

These are the actual practice problems in the portal β€” same wording, same hints, same solutions. Pick an answer.

1 Easy Part–whole reasoning

5/6 of the 240 seats in the theater are filled. How many are filled?

Hint: Find 1/6 of 240 (one share), then take 5 of them.
Solution: 200. One sixth of 240 is 40, so 5/6 = 5 Γ— 40 = 200.
2 Medium Finding the whole

Jonas spent 5/8 of his allowance and has $9 left. What was his allowance?

Hint: The $9 is what is left β€” which fraction of the allowance is that?
Solution: $24. If 5/8 was spent, the $9 left is 3/8 of the allowance, so the whole is $9 Γ· 3/8 = $24. (Check: 5/8 of 24 is 15, and 24 βˆ’ 15 = 9.)

Notice the hint doesn't give the answer away β€” it points at the idea. That's the whole design: kids get unstuck without being handed the result.

Inside a week

Every week has the same three pieces.

πŸ“–

The full lesson

The same interactive lesson we teach in class β€” warmup, the week's named thinking ritual, three concepts with two solution paths each, and guided practice. Students can revisit any of it, any time.

✏️

10 practice problems

Exactly like the two above β€” a hint when they're stuck, a full solution when they're ready, and a βœ“ that sticks once they've solved it. Difficulty climbs from warm-up to contest level.

🏠

Homework, optional

Eight mixed problems, always fresh variants rather than repeats of class work β€” and from Week 4 on, a couple that quietly revisit something from three weeks back.

For parents

You get your own view.

Parents sign in to their own dashboard β€” not their child's. You can see how the week is going without hovering over their shoulder, and message the instructor straight from it.

If you have more than one child with us, each gets their own tab.

Stuck at 9pm? Ask.

Every student can message the instructor privately or ask the whole class β€” and there's an anonymous option for the question they're embarrassed to ask out loud. Those are usually the best ones.

Any problem in the portal has an Ask button right on it, so the question arrives with the problem already attached.

named thinking rituals

Every week is built around one named way of thinking β€” Whole-Finder, Scale-Bridge, Prime-Factory, Angle-Chase, Find-the-Invariant β€” so students walk away with a tool they can name, not a trick they half-remember.
